Nazaré Beach

One of Portugal's most iconic beaches, with a vast expanse of sand and a strong fishing tradition. In summer it's perfect for sunbathing and enjoys a lively atmosphere, with restaurants and bars along the seafront. In winter, it becomes world-famous for the giant waves of Praia do Norte. It offers a great combination of scenery, culture, and gastronomy.
São Martinho do Porto Beach
Distance: ~65 km | Time: 55 min One of the best beaches in the region for families, thanks to its shell-shaped bay that protects it from the open sea, creating calm and safe waters. The atmosphere is tranquil, with a boardwalk, restaurants, and good conditions for relaxing. Ideal for those seeking calm seas instead of strong waves.
Foz do Arelho Beach
Distance: ~70 km | Time: 1 hour
A very special beach combining the Atlantic Ocean with the Óbidos Lagoon. You can choose between calm waters (lagoon side) or waves (ocean side). Excellent for families, water sports and walks. The landscape is expansive and very beautiful, with walkways and good infrastructure.
Baleal Beach
Distance: ~90 km | Time: 1h10
Connected to the famous Peniche peninsula, this beach is ideal for both relaxing and trying out the surf. It has several "sides," allowing you to find areas more sheltered from the wind. The atmosphere is young and laid-back, closely associated with surfing, but also great for long walks along the shore.
Supertubos Beach (Peniche)

One of Europe's best-known surfing beaches, famous for its perfect tubular waves. It hosts international competitions and attracts surfers from all over the world. It's not the best for relaxing swims, but it's impressive for watching the sea in action and strolling through a more wild setting.
